AGODI Prison Training Update – July 04, 2018Posted on: July 10, 2018, by : EXPAR
The Training Started at10: 10 AM. The inmates were expectant and eager to get started. We distributed the first batch of drawing boards to the first 18 participants based on consistency since the project launch.
This is to encourage new participants to be committed to the training.
The topic for the day was Observation. We discussed the importance of cross observation in the drawing.
“Learning to draw is really a matter of learning to see – to see correctly – and that means a good deal more than merely looking with the eye.” Kimon Nicolaides
The training was very interactive and the participants (inmates) asked interesting questions. They were delighted with the new knowledge.
“I am happy about this program; a lot of us can use this opportunity to expose our inner thoughts, fears, and regrets without being judged” stated one of the inmates (Name Withheld).
At the end of the training, an assessment task rated 10 points was conducted, 14 out of the 37 participants scored above average, 13 scored average, while 10 scored below the average mark.
We look forward to the next training.
